Playable The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
LSFG unavailable on AMD Windows driver 26.10.1 (float16 disabled by driver check); works on Linux/RADV
What happened
Frame Generation (LSFG, Lossless.dll in the lossless folder) does not run. The overlay shows "Frame generation is on but not running. This GPU lacks Vulkan features LSFG needs (Vulkan memory model, null descriptors and 16-bit floats)" and FG UNAVAILABLE. Optical Flow does not work for me either.
Log:
LSFG unavailable: memory model true, null descriptor true, float16 false
Render.Vulkan <Warning> vulkan_device.cpp:648:Device: AMD drivers (2026+) have broken float16 math
So only float16 is missing, and it looks like it is turned off by the AMD driver check, not by the hardware. vulkaninfo reports shaderFloat16 = true, storageBuffer16BitAccess = true, vulkanMemoryModel = true and nullDescriptor = true for my RX 6750 XT.
The same GPU on CachyOS (Mesa RADV) runs LSFG fine.
Request: please add an option to override the float16 check for AMD (setting or environment variable), or narrow the check to the driver versions that are really affected. I would accept possible glitches, and I do not want to downgrade the driver.
How far they got
Link timeskip, after first dungeon in Kakariko
Steps to reproduce
Windows 11, AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, Adrenalin 26.10.1. Put Lossless.dll into the "lossless" folder of the user directory, enable Frame Generation with type LSFG, start Zelda OOT Remake
Settings
Launch settings: Docked mode; resolution scale 1x; GPU accuracy Low; asynchronous shaders on.
