Runs The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Low fps reaching 0 fps
What happened
The game launches and is playable, but averages about 20 fps and never reaches 60. At random moments it drops to almost 0 fps and freezes for a few seconds, with no input possible until it recovers.
What I tried
- GPU Mode: Accurate -> Fast (improved the average fps, but the freezes remain)
- Asynchronous shader compilation: on (freezes remain)
- Both pipeline caches enabled (persistent + Vulkan)
- VSync off, post-processing off, frame generation off
- Staying on build 95
Observations
- GPU usage is only about 71-77%, with normal temperatures.
- CPU usage is about 60%, spread evenly across all 12 threads, with no single thread at 100%.
- Lichii is the only process using significant CPU; nothing else is running in the background.
- Disk usage is near 0%, so it does not look like a storage bottleneck.
Settings
Docked mode; resolution scale 1x; GPU Mode Fast; Memory Layout 8GB DRAM; asynchronous shader compilation on; Max Resolution (built-in) and Dynamic FPS by Dark (built-in) enabled.
How far they got
I got past the first forest (Kokiri Forest).
