Runs The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
sort of playable and excited to see improvements
What happened
So far this game is sort of playable, Cutscenes run at 60fps. during gameplay in kokiri forest and hyrule field it most of the time will run at around 15 to 28 fps. fps will often drop below 10 when physics objects are being interacted with. at points the game will freeze for a second, mainly when a lot of effects are happening especially more than one at once, like in kokiri forest breaking grass, attacking a sign while breaking grass , blocking deku nuts, jumping in water in certain places or running through foliage. the attacking freezing seems to happen everywhere.
While inside the Deku tree the fps seemed to be the most stable around 25 to 37fps as the area was smaller and there is less ambient foliage, hair ect. to be rendered. still had freezing at times in the deku tree. I did not experience a crash while playing. (given that the N64 version ran at 20fps, and 3ds at 30fps, its not bad for day 2 of being able to emulate this)
sound will also cut out at random and there is noticeable pop in of objects especially during the first Kaepora Garbora cutscene when leaving kokiri forest. hyrule field is where the stuttering and freezing becomes very apparent as well as noticeable FPS drops.
At points in the kokiri forest the game also made the lighting so bright the whole screen except link and an npc were visible. This happened specifically near Saria's house where you help the NPC pull weeds from her yard, and while running around hyrule field.
Considering the Switch 2 uses a GPU Equivalent to a mobile Nvidia 2050 or a GTX 1050 Ti / GTX 1650, i believe this game will see rapid performance improvements and potentially be able to play better than on its original hardware.
could not figure out how to get a log file unfortunately
