Runs The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Around 30 FPS after shader compilation. Occasional freezes and intro audio desync. First dungeon completed.
What happened
Launch and intro:
The game launches successfully. The intro runs reasonably well, although there are some freezes and noticeable audio desynchronization: the audio finishes before the video does.
Shader compilation and performance:
Initial shader compilation takes some time and causes significant FPS drops during gameplay. Once more shaders have been compiled, performance settles at around 30 FPS. Some actions still cause brief freezes when performed for the first time, which appear to be related to shader compilation. Performance became more stable as I explored Kokiri Forest.
Gameplay progression:
I collected the sword and shield, then went to the Great Deku Tree. The dungeon was playable throughout my test, with no major issues apart from occasional freezes. I was able to defeat the boss and return to Kokiri Forest. This is where I ended my testing; I have not tested further progression.
Improvement compared with earlier builds:
Before build 95, I could not get into the game at all and only saw a black screen. Going from that to being able to complete the first dungeon is an incredible improvement.
Overall:
The opening section is playable, although initial shader compilation stutter and intro audio synchronization still need improvement. Performance becomes noticeably more stable as shaders are cached.
How far they got
I did the first boss then stopped playing
